The service enables members to:

In order for you to get exactly what you need from the NFU Employment Service, we offer two different packages, so you can choose which options best suit your business.

Membership subscriptions are based on employee numbers, annual payroll and package taken.

The following discounts are also available:

  • 10% discount for NFU members or 5% for NFU Mutual policyholders.
  • 5% discounts for 3 year contracts.

This straightforward package offers simple and easy access to advice and tools to help your business.

The support is delivered through a wide range of resources:

  • Employment Law Helpline - offering straightforward access to our team of Employment Specialists. There is no limit to the number or duration of calls (Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm) All calls are recorded allowing immediate reference to any previous advice.
  • Employment Manual - written by our in-house team, the regularly updated manual provides practical advice on all aspects of employment law, covering everything from recruitment to retirement and all the topics in-between.
  • Template Documents - access to over 140 ready-to-use useful templates (contracts, handbook, policies, procedures & letters) that businesses can adapt and use as their own.
  • Document Checking Service - when a business uses one of our template documents, it can be checked by an Employment Specialist before being issued.
  • Quarterly Magazine - to keep you updated with the latest employment law news.
  • Monthly Email Newsletter - to inform you of any changes in the law and how they may affect your business.

Includes all the features of the NFU Employment Service (Package 1) plus the services of an Employment Specialist to deliver a one-off cost effective starter pack of consultancy services.

Our Employment Specialist will deliver a face-to-face full employment law health-check, including the following services:

  • Contracts - drafting or review / update
  • Staff handbook - drafting or review / update
  • Address current issues - discuss employment issues and advise how they can be resolved
  • Identify the impact on the business of any planned changes in employment practices / processes

In order to reduce delivery costs, this service can be provided without the need of an on-site visit.

We appreciate that the needs of a business can change at any time and that our members may need additional assistance.

The following consultancy services can be purchased as and when required by all members:

  • Contracts - drafting or review / update
  • Staff Handbook - drafting or review / update
  • Disciplinary, dismissal and grievance handling
  • Redundancy management and advice
  • Settlement agreements
  • Training for supervisors / managers on employment law topics
